Cardiology Physiologist – Band 7
A fascinating opportunity has arisen for a Band 7 Physiologist with BHRS accreditation (or equivalent) and relevant experience to support the planning and delivery of a specialised Cardiology diagnostics service within the Trust.
You will join the Cardiology Labs team, contributing to a high standard of Cardiac Physiological Services and delivering excellent patient care.
About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join the welcoming Aintree Cardiology Department, responsible for a variety of non-invasive and invasive tests, including:
- ECG & Ambulatory Monitoring
- Tilt Table & Exercise Tolerance Testing
- Echocardiography (including Dobutamine & Exercise Stress Echo, Transoesophageal, Contrast & Bubble Studies)
- Specialist Valve Clinics & Advanced Imaging (Speckle Tracking & 3D Echocardiography)
- Cardiac Catheterisation & Permanent Pacing (both implant and follow-up)
Key Responsibilities
- Support daily paced/rhythm management services:
- Daily follow-up clinics
- Remote follow-up & brady implant services
- Physiologist-led ILR implant (one site)
- Physiologist-led ILR explant (one site)
- A&E liaisons for complex device patients --As a Band 7, you will act as a designated line manager for junior staff, overseeing performance and pay appraisals.

Requirements
- Current BHRS accreditation (or progressing towards it).
- RCCP/ AHCS/ HCPC registration essential.
- Minimum Band 6 level, with ambition to progress to Band 7.
- Experience aligning with Cardiac Physiological Services standards as outlined above.
