About the Role

We are seeking to recruit two Band 7 Clinical/Counselling Psychologists; one permanent post and one 12-month fixed-term contract; to join our warm, supportive, and friendly CAMHS Neurodevelopmental Service.

We are looking for enthusiastic and passionate psychologists who are committed to working with children and young people with neurodevelopmental needs. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a dedicated multidisciplinary team delivering high-quality assessment and moderate intervention within a well-established service.

Our CAMHS service is based in newly developed, purpose-built facilities on the Springfield Hospital site, providing an excellent environment for both staff and the children, young people, and families we support.

About the Service

CAMHS Neurodevelopmental service is an established Tier 3 team that supports children, young people, and their families with neurodevelopmental presentations. Our MDT service is made up of disciplines including Psychiatry, Clinical and Counselling Psychology, Nurses, Speech and Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Positive Behaviour Support.

The service offers assessments and pre/post diagnosis interventions for children and young people presenting with neurodevelopmental conditions (e.g. ASD and ADHD) including formulation and diagnosis where appropriate, as well as recommendations and signposting to our other services provided by partner organisations and services.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
