About Sussex Gender Service (SGS)

Sussex Gender Service is an NHS adult gender service pilot in Sussex, which has been commissioned to provide local transgender healthcare for trans and non-binary people (TNBI). We are staffed by a team of administrators, care navigators, clinical nurse specialists, GPs, psychologists and speech & language therapists.

Our vision & mission

A collaborative, respectful and holistic approach, valuing each individual experience, meeting TNBI people where they are in their journey and providing excellent care. We prioritise reflection and learning from our work alongside the input of our community groups.

We provide compassionate, safe, supportive and holistic care to TNBI people to enable them to live as their most authentic selves.

The role

We are looking for a Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist to lead on a gender‑affirming voice therapy caseload. You will deliver a blend of individual and group interventions, supporting people to develop evidence‑based voice skills aligned with their personal and authentic voice goals.

Alongside your clinical work, you will play a key role in the development and delivery of the service, working closely with the Principal SLT to support day‑to‑day operations. You will also contribute to the growth of the team through supervision and support of a Band 6 SLT and an SLT Expert by Experience.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
