Your New Company

A leading UK infrastructure services provider is seeking an experienced Highways Supervisor to support a growing portfolio of highways maintenance and infrastructure projects across Glasgow and the South West of Scotland. Working across multiple operational sites, you will play a key role in ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established delivery team working on a variety of highways, maintenance, and civil engineering schemes within live operational environments.

Your New Role

As Highways Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day site operations across a number of active projects, travelling between locations to provide supervisory support, ensure safe working practices, and assist site management teams in delivering works efficiently and to programme.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervising highways maintenance and civil engineering activities across multiple sites.
  • Providing leadership and guidance to operatives, gangs, and subcontractors.
  • Ensuring works are carried out in accordance with approved RAMS, permits, and company procedures.
  • Leading daily briefings, toolbox talks, and safety discussions.
  • Monitoring productivity, quality standards, and programme performance.
  • Conducting regular site inspections, audits, and safety observations.
  • Supporting Site Managers and operational teams with planning and resource allocation.
  • Coordinating labour, plant, materials, and subcontractors to maximize efficiency.
  • Liaising with clients, stakeholders, and traffic management teams where required.
  • Maintaining accurate site records, reports, and health & safety documentation.
  • Identifying and resolving on-site issues while maintaining programme delivery.
  • Promoting a positive health, safety, and environmental culture at all times.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
