A Customer Services Hire Controller – It’s a People Thing
About the Role

It’s not about what you know. It’s who you are. As a Hire Controller, you’ll take on one of the most important jobs in our business—looking after our customers. That means:
- Building meaningful relationships
- Understanding their needs
- Identifying how we can make their work easier
Your day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Delivering best-in-class customer service through phone, email, and website requests
- Managing orders from enquiry to post-hire feedback, owning the entire customer journey
- Maximising upsell opportunities by deepening product knowledge
- Engaging creatively to ensure excellent experiences and continuous improvement
Ideal for individuals from customer service backgrounds, especially those with industry experience or hands-on operational expertise, this role offers true impact.

Key Requirements
To excel as a Hire Controller, you must possess (or quickly develop):

Proven customer service experience
- Handling inbound order/sales enquiries
- Proven track record of transaction completion and customer satisfaction

(Advantageous but not essential: experience in hire/construction industries)

Product-driven mindset
- Eager to learn, understand, and grow expertise in our product range
- Enriched by understanding the broader Sunbelt business
