Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Hire Controller role based in Hale. The Hire Controller will manage incoming hire inquiries, prepare quotes, process orders, and coordinate the delivery and collection of tools, lifting, and access equipment. Responsibilities include maintaining accurate records, updating systems with hire details, and ensuring equipment availability by liaising with suppliers, depots, and logistics teams. The role involves proactive account management, resolving issues promptly, and providing clear communication to customers throughout the hire process. The Hire Controller will also support billing and documentation to ensure smooth commercial delivery and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

- Experience in hire, rental, or equipment scheduling, with strong organizational and time-management skills is a must
- Customer service and account management abilities, including clear communication, relationship building, and problem-solving.
- Competence using office software and hire management systems, with attention to detail in data entry and record keeping.
- Basic commercial and administrative skills, including quoting, order processing, and supporting invoicing.
- Ability to work effectively on-site in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with operations, sales, and logistics teams.
- Previous experience in tool, lifting, or access equipment hire is beneficial but not essential.
- Relevant education or training in business, administration, or a related field is an advantage.
