About The Role

CUSTOMER SERVICES - IT’S A PEOPLE THING

Are you someone who can start a conversation in an empty room? One of those people who always manages to get things done, no matter how much there is to do? If the answer is yes to both, there’s a place in our Customer Service team for you.

It’s not about what you know. It’s who you are. As a Hire Controller, you’ll be doing one of the most important jobs in our business—looking after our customers. This means building relationships, getting to know what they do, how they do it, and most importantly, how we can help them do it better.

In the role of Hire Controller, you'll be responsible for delivering a best-in-class service whilst maximising upselling opportunities using product knowledge and expertise. Your days will involve:

  • Communicating with customers via telephone, email, and website requests
  • Managing an order from enquiry to post-hire feedback, taking ownership of the customer journey
  • Building and nurturing relationships with regular customers
  • Thinking on your feet, using initiative, and improving customer experience across the board

This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals from a customer service background—ideally with industry experience—who want to see and feel the tangible impact of their work in a hands-on, process-driven, service-focused business.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
