Hire Desk Controller
Caerphilly

£30,000 - £35,000 per annum
Bridgestaff Group are delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a growing and ambitious business based in Caerphilly for an experienced Hire Desk Controller.
This is an excellent opportunity for a driven, organised, and commercially-minded individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys building strong customer relationships. The successful candidate will join a close-knit team and play a key role in the continued development and success of the hire desk function.
We are looking for someone who can genuinely make the role their own, bringing new ideas, a proactive approach, and the confidence to contribute to the ongoing growth of the department.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing customer enquiries via telephone and email
- Preparing quotations, processing hire orders, and coordinating contracts
- Building and maintaining strong customer relationships
- Identifying sales opportunities and maximising hire revenue
- Coordinating deliveries, collections, and exchanges with operational teams
- Managing multiple priorities and ensuring excellent service levels
- Maintaining accurate records and updating internal systems
- Supporting fleet utilisation and resource planning
- Working closely with internal departments to ensure smooth day-to-day operations
- Assisting with business growth through excellent customer service and commercial awareness

What We're Looking For
- Previous experience in a Hire Desk Controller, Hire Coordinator, or similar role
- Strong customer service and relationship-building skills
- Proven ability to manage a busy workload and prioritise effectively
- Commercially aware with a proactive approach to sales opportunities
- Self-motivated, driven, and capable of working independently
- Strong organisational and administrative skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office
- A positive attitude and willingness to contribute to the growth of the business

Working Hours
- Monday to Thursday: 8:30am - 4:30pm
- Friday: 8:30am - 3:30pm
Salary & Benefits
