Hire Fitter / HGV Class 2 Driver
Location: Travis Perkins - Petersfield (GU32 3LW)
Ready to combine your driving skills with a hands-on technical role? As a Hire Fitter / HGV Class 2 Driver, you’ll be the backbone of our Petersfield hire department. Working closely with the Hire Manager, you’ll ensure our tools and equipment are top-notch, compliant, and safely delivered to our customers using a Beavertail HGV.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Maintain & Repair: Test, service, and prepare hire tools and equipment to the highest safety standards.
- Deliver the Goods: Safely transport and collect a diverse range of equipment using a Class 2 Beavertail vehicle.
- Customer First: Build great relationships, offer expert advice, and understand what our customers need.
- Team Support: Help the Hire Manager keep the daily operations running smoothly.
- Safety Always: Keep compliance and safety at the absolute heart of everything you do.

What We’re Looking For
Must Have:
- A valid HGV Class 2 driving licence.
Great-to-Have:
- Experience in the Plant/Hire industry or a knack for fixing electrical, petrol, or diesel equipment.
Transferable Skills: Don't have hire experience? No problem. If you have strong customer service or sales skills, we want to hear from you.
You need to have:
- Energy, resilience, and a love for fast-paced, hands-on environments. We want someone ambitious looking to build a long-term career.
