Rental Service Technician — ICS Cool Energy

A Rental Service Technician is a field-based technical professional responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing rental temperature control equipment at customer sites. The role supports customers using temporary cooling, heating, and power solutions, helping ensure their operations continue safely and efficiently.

Typical Responsibilities

  • Install and commission rental equipment at customer locations
  • Perform planned maintenance and servicing on hired equipment
  • Diagnose faults and carry out repairs or technical adjustments
  • Respond to breakdowns and urgent service calls
  • Support customers with operational and technical issues in the field
  • Ensure equipment is working safely, efficiently, and in line with service standards
  • Complete service documentation and communicate updates clearly to customers and internal teams
  • Help maintain high levels of customer satisfaction through responsive technical support

Common Requirements

  • Mechanical and/or electrical service experience
  • Ability to troubleshoot technical equipment independently
  • Field service or rental equipment experience
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites
  • Focus on safety, quality, and reliability
