Job Description

Merit Tutors is hiring exceptional English Tutors for in-person roles across East London branches.

We are looking for ambitious English students, graduates, or qualified teachers with a strong academic background and a passion for education. This role involves teaching KS1 to A-Level students in a supportive, high-quality tutoring environment where tutors can make a real impact while gaining valuable teaching experience.

Candidate Requirements

We are looking for individuals who:

  • Study or have graduated from top universities such as Imperial College London, LSE, UCL, King’s College London, Queen Mary University of London, City St George’s
  • Achieved GCSE English Grade 8–9 and A-Level Grade A/A*
  • Specialise in English Literature, English Language (preferred), or related humanities subjects
  • Are confident, committed, and passionate about student success
