Key responsibilities include:
- Planning and delivering high-quality History lessons in line with the national curriculum
- Creating an engaging, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment
- Assessing, tracking, and supporting student progress effectively
- Maintaining strong classroom behaviour in line with school policies
- Supporting pupils of mixed abilities to achieve outstanding outcomes
- Working collaboratively within an outstanding Humanities department and wider school team
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a relevant teaching qualification
- Proven experience teaching History at secondary level
- Strong subject knowledge and confident classroom management
- Ability to engage and motivate students across Key Stages
- Professional, reliable, and adaptable approach
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
- Right to work in the UK
- Relevant professional references
