Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) - Stafford - Long Term Cover Role

Start Date: September 2026

We are currently recruiting for a part-time Higher-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a school on a part-time, temporary basis working through a supply agency. You will be completing a long-term contract through a supply agency working at a small, village primary school. The school fosters a strong sense of community and is committed to providing a balanced, broad, and enriching curriculum that allows every pupil to flourish within school.

The successful candidate will be dedicated and committed to supporting every child within the classroom environment. You will be expected to support teaching & learning across all Key Stages; delivering learning activities to both small groups and whole classes. You'll be responsible for leading targeted interventions; contributing to planning and preparation of learning activities whilst monitoring, assessing, and feeding back on pupil progress to the class teacher. You will contribute to the calm, purposeful, and inclusive learning environment that the school already fosters.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
