About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated, and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a friendly and supportive primary school team. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is passionate about helping children achieve their full potential and who can make a positive contribution to teaching and learning across the school.
The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and school leaders to support high-quality learning experiences for pupils. They will be confident in leading whole-class learning, delivering targeted interventions, and supporting pupils with a range of abilities and needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead whole-class learning activities in the absence of a teacher.
- Plan, prepare, and deliver learning activities under the direction of teaching staff.
- Support the academic, social, and emotional development of pupils.
- Deliver targeted intervention programmes to individuals and small groups.
- Assist in assessing, recording, and monitoring pupil progress.
- Support pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) where required.
- Promote positive behaviour and maintain high expectations of all pupils.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and external agencies to support pupil achievement.
- Contribute to the wider life of the school community.

The Successful Candidate Will Have
- HLTA status or equivalent relevant qualification and experience.
- Experience working within a primary school setting.
- Strong literacy, numeracy, and communication skills.
- The ability to motivate and inspire children to achieve their best.
- Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- A positive, flexible, and proactive approach to work.

Teaching Tomorrow is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. This role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and the amendments to the Exceptions Order 1975, 2013 and 2020. It is an offence to apply for this role if you are barred from engaging in regulated activity relevant to children. We offer payment via both Umbrella and PAYE Services.
Salary: 95 - 120 GBP Per day
