Job Description: Product Strategy & Roadmap Define portfolio strategy, positioning, segmentation, and differentiation across industrial and automotive segments Translate customer and market requirements into prioritized product specs, value propositions, and data-driven business cases Lead marketing input into product roadmaps and lifecycle planning Develop deep understanding of system-level requirements and platform strategies Personally lead product definition for the most strategically impactful programs, ensuring first-hand market insight shapes every critical decision Go-to-Market Execution Create and execute marketing strategies targeting priority segments, regions, and strategic accounts Partner with Sales on pipeline reviews, forecast alignment, and corrective actions Drive win/loss analysis and competitive intelligence to refine positioning Support strategic customer engagements and executive-level discussions Sales Enablement & Communications Define and drive high-impact collateral: solution briefs, presentations, launch kits, and case studies Lead product launches and ensure consistent messaging across all channels Serve as primary liaison to Corporate MarCom for brand-compliant execution Team Leadership Manage a team of Marketing Engineers with full personnel responsibility Set clear priorities, enforce execution standards, and foster a high-performance culture Develop talent through coaching, structured development plans, and succession planning Lead by example as a hands-on contributor — stepping in to personally drive critical tasks when the situation demands it Operational Excellence & Innovation Champion the adoption of AI-powered tools and workflows across the team to accelerate decision-making, automate routine tasks, and multiply productivity Leverage Tableau, Excel, and the broader Microsoft 365 suite to build dashboards, perform analyses, and deliver data-driven insights that inform strategy Continuously identify and implement process improvements that free the team to focus on high-value, strategic work Partner & Ecosystem Development Manage and strengthen Microchip’s worldwide Touch Partner network Drive design-ins through module partners, distribution, and direct customer channels Cross-Functional Collaboration Coordinate with Sales, Engineering, Applications, Systems, and Supply Chain Represent marketing in cross-functional forums and customer escalations Requirements/Qualifications: Education Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics, Computer Science, or related fields MBA or equivalent senior expertise in marketing or applications roles is a plus Experience Minimum 10 years in microcontroller or touch controller systems (applications, technical marketing) Minimum 10 years in Automotive, Consumer, and/or Industrial segments Proven track record in product marketing, portfolio strategy, or go-to-market execution in the semiconductor industry Skills Strong strategic thinking with ability to prioritize in complex, resource-constrained environments Business acumen: business case development, forecast reviews, pipeline analysis, pricing strategies Technical depth: system-level architectures, semiconductor product development, qualification standards (AEC-Q100) Hands-on proficiency with analytics and productivity tools — particularly Tableau, Excel, and Microsoft 365 — with the ability to build dashboards and derive actionable insights Demonstrated experience leveraging AI tools to optimize team workflows and accelerate output Excellent oral and written communication in English; second language is an advantage Self-motivated, customer-oriented, structured, and data-driven Travel Willingness to travel across Asia, the United States, and Europe for customer visits and business engagements Travel Time: 25% - 50% To all recruitment agencies: Microchip Technology Inc. does not accept unsolicited agency resumes.
