prison Digital Services Administrator – HMYOI Feltham Location: Feltham, TW13 4ND Salary: £32,367 (plus £9,376 Civil Service Defined Benefit Pension contribution)
About the Role
The Prison Digital Services Administrator will support the management and delivery of digital services, including Launchpad and digital device provision (such as laptops and accessories).
B Reporting to the Digital and Communications Manager, this is a non-operational role with no line management responsibilities. The key focus is on overseeing:
- Asset management on-site (including allocation, retrieval, and replacement of devices).
- Conducting basic technical troubleshooting (escalation as necessary).
- Delivery of the New Reception Induction programme in YP rooms.
- Supporting adoption and training across all user groups regarding digital services.
- Creating and publishing local content in collaboration with the Prison Digital & Communications Manager.
Responsibilities
This role requires a flexible approach to the following core tasks:
- Managing device allocation, retrieval, and replacement across the prison to ensure operational efficiency.
- Performing basic technical troubleshooting (e.g., troubleshooting hardware/software issues) and escalating critical issues to appropriate IT teams.
- Conducting and ensuring compliance within the New Reception (YP Rooms) Induction programme.
- Supporting adoption of digital systems (such as Launchpad) among all user groups, including training and onboarding sessions.
- Supporting future digital rollouts through participation in planning, testing, and deployment processes.
- Assisting the Digital & Communications Manager with compiling, managing, and publishing digital and multimedia content tailored for in-person and digital accounts.

Requirements
Essential
- Experience in IT troubleshooting (preference for إذيرة focusing on hardware/software issues in controlled environments).
- ** Strong written comm lockdown** skills for creating professional documentation, training materials, and internal communications.
- Proficiency in written, audio, and visual communication.
- Practical experience in filming, editing, and producing digital audio/visual content.
Desirable
- Previous experience working in a prison/secure facility setting (familiarity with governance and operational dynamics).
- Digital/Technology experience, specifically working with managed IT environments or content management systems.
- Content planning experience (preferably for internal/government communications).
- Familiarity or experience with Content Management Systems (CMS) or similar platforms.
