Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Cook to join our community-focused team in Rochdale. This role is vital in preparing nutritious meals that bring people together and support our mission of community support and engagement.
The role includes preparing a weekly Lunch Club, Dinner Drivers (meals on wheels), supporting our two cafes and producing buffets and lunches for people hiring our facilities.

Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of meals in accordance with dietary guidelines and community needs.
- Ensure food safety standards are consistently met.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area.
- Collaborate with team members to plan menus that cater to diverse preferences.
- Assist in managing kitchen supplies and inventory.
- Support community members during meal service.
- Contribute to creating a welcoming environment for all participants.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or culinary roles.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices and have a minimum of Level 2 in Food Hygiene.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- Ability to handle kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
- Prior experience working in a community or restaurant setting is preferred.
- Passion for supporting community well-being through nutritious meal provision.
