Role Overview

Position: HMS Business SME

Reporting to: Head of Operational Excellence

Location: 159-161 Upper Sheriff Street, Dublin 1 (Hybrid)

Contract type: Fixed Term Contract ending 31st December 2026

Salary: €45,830 - €63,017 (DOE)


The Operations Department

The Operations Department is dedicated to delivering essential services to our residents, including allocations, rent calculation and collection, and tenancy management. Additionally, we provide estate services and support community development activities to promote well-kept, friendly neighbourhoods.

The Housing Management System (HMS) Project, the business ownership sits within Operational Excellence team, who contribute to maintaining the quality of services we provide to our residents and ensuring our properties are safe and maintained to high standards.

As we enter the second phase of the HMS project, we have an opportunity to bring in a role to assist the project and business with the further roll out of the project this will further enhance the services we offer our residents.

HMS Business SME

To work within the Housing Management System (HMS) Project as a business Subject Matter Expert (SME). This role is core to the implementation of Phase 2 of the HMS. During HMS Phase 2 we anticipate several “Sprints” to develop several additional core processes and deliver enhancements to the recently deployed HMS Phase1.

As a HMS Business SME, your role will be to work collaboratively with the project team, our project partners, the technical team, and other SMEs from across the business, to support the efficient development and deployment of Phase 2, ensuring timely delivery and process optimisation.

  • Problem-Solving: Identifying and correcting discrepancies or issues promptly.

Person Specification

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work with large datasets and use data to identify issues, trends, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and influence outcomes.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other business systems, with strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Experience/Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a customer service, housing, operations, business support, or project environment, with responsibility for resolving complex enquiries or supporting service delivery.
  • Experience supporting the implementation of business change, process improvement initiatives, or system deployments.
  • Knowledge of social housing, property management, tenancy management, or customer relationship management (CRM) systems.
  • Project management, business analysis, or process mapping experience, supported by relevant qualifications or training
