Salary: £12.71 plus excellent benefits
Schedule: Casual contract, flexible to work various shifts across Monday – Friday between 8.30am – 4pm, to meet the needs of the business.

As a Holiday Scheme Assistant in our Shropshire Community Leisure Trust team, you’ll play a hands-on role in creating safe, fun, and engaging holiday activities for children and young people in the local community.
This is a practical and rewarding role where your enthusiasm and care will help deliver positive experiences during school holidays. From sports sessions to arts and crafts, your work will support children to stay active, build confidence, and enjoy their time in a welcoming and inclusive environment.
You’ll Be Entrusted To
What you’ll do as a Holiday Scheme Assistant
Deliver fun and safe sports, arts, and craft activities in line with the holiday scheme programme Support a high-quality holiday scheme provision by working closely with colleagues Engage positively with children to create an enjoyable, inclusive, and supportive environment Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with site procedures Follow safeguarding practices at all times and comply with company policies and procedures Carry out other appropriate duties in line with the nature of the role

You’ll be a great fit for this role if you have:
An understanding of holiday scheme provision and activity delivery Strong communication and customer care skills Good organisational skills and the ability to manage different activity areas The ability to work both independently and as part of a team A flexible, adaptable, and enthusiastic approach to working with children
Vetting And Checks
An Enhanced DBS check is required for this role. This includes spent and unspent convictions, cautions, and any relevant information held by local police, in accordance with the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and safeguarding requirements. You will also complete an Occupational Health Questionnaire to allow us to provide any support needed for you to succeed in the role.
