The Role
You will provide essential care assistance to our clients, promoting independence, dignity, and well-being. This Fully trained Home Care Assistant role will require empathy, reliability, and a dedication to person-centred care, offering support that enhances our clients’ quality of life.
Key Responsibilities
As a Home Care Assistant, you will be responsible for:
- Personal Care – Assisting with bathing, dressing, grooming, and continence needs
- Mobility Assistance – Supporting clients with movement, transfers, and using mobility aids
- Medication Reminders – Ensuring medications are taken as prescribed
- Meal Preparation – Co-curing simple, nutritious meals and promoting hydration
- Light Housekeeping – Maintaining a tidy and safe living environment
- Companionship – Providing emotional support, engaging in conversation, and activities
- Transportation – Assisting with reliable travel to appointments or social events
- Health Monitoring – Observing and reporting any changes in health or well-being
- Record Keeping – Accurately documenting care sessions and client observations

Requirements
Previous experience in adult care is preferred but not essential. Successful candidates will have:
- Empathy, patience, and respect for clients’ dignity and privacy
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- A reliable and trustworthy approach to work
- Willingness to undergo training (including mandatory induction sessions)
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Working Hours & Pattern
- Average weekly hours: 39hrs
- Shift patterns: 3 days off, 2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on, 2 days off, 2 days on (repeats every 14 days)
- Shift duration: 12 hours
- Times: Typically 7:00 AM – 2:00 PM or 4:00 PM – 9:00 PM, though times may vary
Salary & Benefits
- Competitive rate: £10.75 per hour
- Fortnightly payroll via credit transfer to nominated bank/building society account
