Company Description

At Home Instead, our mission is simple: to expand the world's capacity to care. We are dedicated to changing the face of ageing by providing high-quality, relationship-led care that allows older people to live independently and happily in their own homes.

We don't just provide a service; we build lasting friendships. We believe in the "gift of time", which is why our visits are a minimum of one hour, ensuring our Care Assistants can provide care that is never rushed and always heartfelt. We are proud to have recently been awarded a 5-Star Employer status from WorkBuzz, based on the views of our clients and Care Assistants.

Job Description

As a Care Assistant, you will be matched with local clients based on shared interests and personalities. Your goal is to support older adults in their daily lives, helping them maintain their independence and quality of life. This is a role where you can truly make a difference every single day.

The key responsibilities of a Home Care Assistant are:

  • Relationship building: Spend quality time with clients, engaging in conversation and companionship to combat loneliness.
  • Personal care: Support with dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene, always maintaining the client's dignity and respect.
  • Home support: Assist with light housekeeping, meal preparation, and running errands such as grocery shopping.
  • Well-being support: Help with medication reminders and accompany clients to appointments or social activities.
  • Independence advocacy: Encourage and support clients to continue doing the things they love from the comfort of their own homes.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
