Home Care Assistant – Poole Care at Home Team
About the Role
Care South, a leading not for profit charity, is recruiting for Home Care Assistants to join their Poole Care at Home team. This community-based role involves supporting clients with diverse needs in their own homes.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, person-centred care to enable individuals to remain independent.
- Deliver personal care (e.g., hygiene, toileting, dressing) while upholding dignity.
- Support clients in building confidence and maintaining autonomy.
- Report accurately on client needs with strong attention to detail.
- Work independently and collaboratively with a supportive, experienced team.
Requirements
✅ Essential:
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (due to location-based roles).
- Ability to work flexible hours, including every other weekend.
- Enhanced DBS check (on the update service) or willingness to complete one.
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Valid employment eligibility in the UK (no visa sponsorship available).
- Strong qualities: kindness, empathy, and a passion for making a difference.

- Previous experience in a care setting.
Pay & Compensation
- £13.70 per hour, plus:
- Paid travel time.
- £0.40 per mile (40p) reimbursement, paid fortnightly.
- Enhanced rates on Bank Holidays.

Shifts available:
- 07:00–15:00
- 15:00–19:00
- 19:00–23:00
