About Nouveau Care
Nouveau Care is a CQC regulated service providing adult social care in partnership with local authorities and the NHS. Based in Hingham, we employ Home Care Assistants who deliver personalised, high-quality care directly to individuals in their own homes.
Role Description
As a Home Care Assistant, you will provide compassionate, client-centred support and assistance with daily activities. This includes:
- Personal care (e.g., bathing, dressing, hygiene assistance)
- Mobility support (e.g., assisting clients in and out of bed, mobility aids, transfers)
- Medication reminders and adherence support
- Meal preparation (planning, cooking, serving)
- Light housekeeping (tidying, laundry, basic domestic maintenance)
- Companionship (engaging conversation, activities, emotional support)
- Transportation arrangements (accompanying clients to appointments or outings)
- Health monitoring (vital signs, symptom tracking)
- Accurate record-keeping (documenting care activities and client responses)
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver consistent, professional care tailored to individual client needs.
- Maintain client confidentiality and dignity at all times.
- Work respectfully with clients, families, and multidisciplinary teams (e.g., nurses, social workers).
- Follow risk assessment guidelines and safety protocols.
- Communicate arriving/departing times and any changes/substitute staff as required.
- Ensure all care plans and authorisations are updated promptly.

Requirements
Essential
- Ability to demonstrate empathy, patience, and respect for clients’ needs.
- Reliability and trustworthiness— Okinawa candidates are supervised independently and match in with clients regularly.
- Willingness to undergo mandatory pre-employment checks (DSV, SIA Level 2, safeguarding training).
- Flexibility to adapt to client care plans and varying hours.
Desirable
- Previous experience as a Care Worker, Carer, Nurse’s Aide, or Home Assistant (not essential).
- Care Certificate or Nursing qualification (Human Health Care).
Skills & Experience
- Strong interpersonal skills— building rapport with vulnerable clients.
- Ability to follow care plans and reporting protocols methodically.
- Basic knowledge of health and safety, infection control, and emergency protocols.
- Capability to prioritise tasks efficiently while maintaining professional standards.
- Comfort with digital record-keeping systems (may require familiarisation training).

Working Hours
- 39 average hours per week, including Variable Hours surprmachining.
- Shift pattern follows a structured 14-day cycle:
- Week 1: 3 days off, 2 days “on,” 2 days off, 2 days “on”
- Week 2: 4 days “on,” 3 days off, 2 days “on,” 2 days off
- Shift length: 12–14 hours (e.g., 7:00 AM – 9:00 PM), depending on business needs.

Salary & Benefits
- Gross salary: £10.75 per hour.
- Payment method: Fortnightly via account credit transfer (Paypoint/Fturn).
