Position: Care Worker

Location: Various sites across Staffordshire

Contract Type: Full-time / Part-time / Permanent

Salary: Competitive, based on experience.

Job Overview

At Vivash-Elite Care, you'll be part of a team that helps individuals on a day to day basis, encouraging them to live as independently as possible. You will help people reach their full potential, through both practical and emotional support while making a positive difference to their lives.

Your own positive attitude and genuine passion for providing high quality care and support will be integral to the culture of our team. You should be keen to learn and show compassion to care for the people we support. Our team provide care and support for individuals with different conditions in their homes across Staffordshire.

Previous care experience is essential, however, the key things you need to excel in this role are empathy and a passion for caring, flexibility and a strong sense of responsibility. Full training is provided. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a commitment to enhancing the well-being of those in their care. Duties may include

  • Assisting with personal care
  • General light domestic duties
  • Assisting with the cooking of light meals, preparing snacks and the provision of beverages
  • Carrying out tasks as specified in the service users individual service/care plan
  • Transporting service users to local amenities and to medical appointments.
  • Contributing to accurate and detailed record keeping whilst maintaining the service.
  • Communicate effectively with families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies.
  • Ensure adherence to CQC regulations and company policies.
  • Ensuring residents receive the highest possible quality of care and support, monitoring general health and reporting any concerns.
  • Completing and maintaining accurate care records.
  • Administering prescribed medicines according to care plan.

Desirable Qualification & Skills

  • Proven experience in home care setting or similar environments is preferred
  • Care Certification
  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care (or a commitment to complete training)
  • Excellent communication skills in English (verbal & written)
  • Computer literate for documentation and reporting
  • Full UK driving license (preferred)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a caring nature
  • Familiarity with care plans and home care practices is beneficial
  • Ability to work on your own and as part of a team
  • Ability to understand and follow policies and procedure
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends
  • Satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS)
