As a Sainsbury’s Home Delivery Driver, you’ll be a vital part of bringing our customers’ online orders directly to their doorstep.
Eligibility Requirements
To apply, you must meet the following criteria:
- Be over 18 years old with a full UK/EU driving licence for at least 12 months
- Have no more than 6 penalty points on your licence
- Hold Right to Work eligibility in the UK
- Successfully complete:
- An online driving risk assessment as part of the interview process
- A driving assessment before you begin work
What You’ll Do
As a Home Delivery Driver, you’ll:
- Drive a 3.5-tonne van while maintaining high standards for the timely, safe, and well-organised delivery of groceries to customers
- Pre-drive checks including:
- Ensuring the van is clean, roadworthy, and properly stocked
- Securing delivery cases for safe transit
- Adapting your driving style to suit urban, rural, and residential settings
- Offer exceptional customer service by:
- Addressing questions, substitutions, or concerns promptly
- Explaining products and promotions to help customers
- Maintain service quality by:
- Keeping customers informed of any delays or changes
- Provide cross-departmental support in-store when deliveries are not scheduled
