About the Role
You’ll play a crucial role in ensuring our customers receive their groceries promptly and in perfect condition. Your responsibilities include:
- Driving a 3.5-tonne van to deliver groceries safely and on time to customers’ doorsteps.
- Conducting thorough pre-delivery checks—ensuring the van is organised, clean, and roadworthy, and that delivery cases are securely fitted before setting off.
- Driving in diverse locations and conditions, including busy residential streets and narrow country lanes, while complying with safety standards.
- Providing excellent customer service, addressing queries, handling substitutions, and keeping customers informed about any potential delays.
- Building strong knowledge of our products, services, and promotions to offer personalised recommendations.
When not on deliveries, you’ll support across the store as needed, assisting in various tasks.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
