Home Delivery Driver
Colleague (Van Driver) – Delivery Role
Key Responsibilities

Driving and deliveries:
- Operate a 3.5-tonne van to deliver groceries door-to-door, ensuring on-time and high-quality service.
- Conduct pre-drive checks to verify the van’s organisation, cleanliness, roadworthiness, and secure case loads.
- Navigate efficiently through diverse environments—busy residential streets, narrow country lanes, and varying property types.

Customer service:
- Provide excellent doorstep service, including supporting customers with queries and substitutions.
- Transparently communicate any delays and maintain a friendly, proactive approach.
- Build expertise in Sainsbury’s products, promotions, and services to offer tailored recommendations.

Flexible store contributions:
- Assist across the store when deliveries aren’t scheduled (e.g., restocking, stock checks, or other tasks during slow periods).

- Commitment to learning and using digital tools and innovations (e.g., AI-powered cabin cameras for monitoring safety compliance during deliveries).
