Home Delivery Driver

## Driver – grocery deliveries (3.5-tonne van)

### What You’ll Be Doing

  • Driving a 3.5-tonne van to deliver groceries to customer doorsteps, ensuring on-time and impeccable delivery conditions
  • Completing thorough checks to guarantee the van is:
    • Organised and clean
    • Roadworthy
    • Securely loaded before driving safely through various locations and conditions
  • Providing outstanding customer service by:
    • Answering queries and handling substitutions
    • Keeping customers informed of any delays
  • Building deep expertise in Sainsbury’s products, services, and promotions to offer tailored recommendations
  • Assisting across the store as needed when not on deliveries

  • Easily adapt to new digital tools or technology and handle physically demanding tasks, such as moving containers weighing up to 15KG
  • Participate in Sainsbury’s driver safety programme, which includes in-cab AI cameras to monitor driving behaviour and ensure compliance with road laws, fostering a safer environment for all road users
