About the Role

A fantastic opportunity to join our Grocery Delivery team as a Van Delivery Driver. Supporting customers with their shopping needs through exceptional retail delivery service – where your skill, enthusiasm and people skills make all the difference. You’ll be at the heart of the Sainsbury’s community with every doorstep delivery, creating a memorable, hassle-free shopping experience.


Key Responsibilities

  • Daily delivery of grocery orders using a 3.5-tonne van:
    • Ensuring orders arrive on-time, clean and damage-free
  • Pre-drive checks to confirm vehicle safety, organisation and secure cargo
  • Driving in diverse locations (suburban, rural, busy streets) to reach all customers

Customer Service Excellence

  • Friendly and efficient service handling customer questions, substitutions and providing prompt updates if delays arise

Product & Operations Support

  • Build strong product knowledge to offer tailored recommendations and promote special offers
  • Flexible in-store assistance including inventory or stocking tasks when not on deliveries
  • Physically relocating goods (up to 15kg containers) during tasks
