Home Delivery Driver – Sainsbury’s

Working in our stores:

Our stores are fast-paced environments where no two days are ever the same and food is our passion. They are at the heart of the local community, providing outstanding value, quality, and great service. As one of our Home Delivery Drivers, you’ll be one of the key ingredients delivering everything our online customers shop at Sainsbury’s direct to their doorsteps.

Eligibility

To apply, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Be over 18
  • Have held a full UK/EU driving licence for at least 12 months
  • Have no more than 6 points on your licence
  • Possess Right to Work eligibility in the UK

You’ll also complete an online driving risk assessment as part of the interview process. If successful, you’ll undertake a driving assessment when you join us.

Job Responsibilities

As a Home Delivery Driver, your primary duties will include:

  • Driving a 3.5-tonne van to deliver groceries to customers’ doorsteps, ensuring they arrive on time and in excellent condition
  • Conducting vehicle checks to confirm the van is organised, clean, roadworthy, and that delivery cases are secure
  • Safely navigating various locations and conditions to deliver to a variety of residential properties
  • Providing exceptional customer service, assisting with product inquiries, substitutions, and communicating any delays
  • Cultivating deep knowledge of our products, services, and promotions to offer recommendations
  • Supporting the store when not out making deliveries

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
