Home Delivery Driver

Home Delivery Driver – Sainsbury’s

About the Role

Our stores are fast-paced and dynamic environments built around a passion for food. Right at the heart of local communities, we provide outstanding value, quality, and excellent customer service. As a Home Delivery Driver, you’ll be a key part of our team, ensuring our online customers receive their Sainsbury’s orders safely and on time.

Eligibility

To apply, you’ll need to meet these requirements:

  • Be older than 18
  • Hold a full UK/EU driving licence for at least 12 months
  • Have no more than 6 penalty points on your licence
  • Hold Right to Work eligibility in the UK

Successful candidates will complete online driving assessments followed by an in-person driving test as part of the process.

Responsibilities

  • Drive a 3.5-tonne van, delivering groceries to customers' doorsteps efficiently and safely
  • Conduct thorough vehicle checks ensuring it’s clean, roadworthy, and fully stocked prior to deliveries
  • Navigate through diverse locations—residential areas, busy streets, and rural lanes—while maintaining safety standards
  • Provide exceptional customer service, assisting with queries, substitutions, and any updates on delays
  • Build strong product knowledge and share tailored recommendations with customers
  • Collaborate across the store when off-routing, helping with operational needs (e.g., stocking, tasks as assigned)

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
