Home Delivery Driver

Job Description: Sainsbury’s Driver / Deliverer

What you’ll be doing:

  • Driving a 3.5-tonne van to deliver groceries to customers’ doorsteps, ensuring they arrive on-time and in a pristine condition
  • Performing pre-delivery checks to confirms the van is organised, clean, roadworthy, and securely loaded before driving
  • Safely navigating deliveries across various locations and conditions, including busy residential streets and narrow country lanes
  • Providing exceptional customer service, including:
    • Handling questions or substitutions
    • Keeping customers updated on any delays
    • Offering product recommendations based on deep knowledge of Sainsbury’s offerings, promotions, and services
  • Assisting across the store as required when not delivering

    • Strength to handle manual tasks (e.g., carrying shopping containers up to 15KG)

    • AI-powered in-cab monitoring cameras (ensuring compliance with road laws)
