Home Manager – New Care Home Opening (Norfolk)

About the Role

An outstanding job opportunity has opened for an experienced Home Manager to oversee a brand new, modern care home opening in Swaffham, Norfolk, working for one of the UK’s leading healthcare providers.

This care home will offer:

  • Residential care
  • Dementia care
  • Respite care
  • Convalescence care

The home aims to provide a comfortable, supportive environment, tailored to the individual needs of each resident.

Key Qualification Requirements

Candidates must have previous experience managing a nursing or residential home.


Key Duties & Responsibilities

As the Home Manager, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Providing leadership, direction, and cultural ethos to the team, fostering kindness, compassion, and empathy.
  • Ensuring compliance with CQC regulations while maintaining the highest standards of care and support.
  • Managing the home’s budget effectively to meet financial targets and control costs.
  • Developing and implementing a strategic marketing plan to ensure full occupancy and promote the home’s services to residents, families, and stakeholders.
  • Building and maintaining positive relationships with residents, families, and stakeholders, ensuring responsive and discretionate service.

Preferred Skills & Experience

Candidates who can demonstrate the following will be highly advantageous:

  • A deep understanding of CQC standards with a proven ability to secure Outstanding ratings.
  • Strong communication skills to maintain professional relationships with staff, families, visitors, and external partners.
  • A track record of marketing and business leadership within the private care sector, successfully running a profitable care facility.
  • Passion for person-centred care, with enthusiasm for developing exceptional care standards.
  • Ability to participate actively in the growth and expansion of the care service.
