Poppins is a residental children’s home providing:
- Specialist residential care and support for children with disabilities and complex needs
- A safe, secure, and nurturing environment where independence and enrichment are prioritised
- Trauma-informed and Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) approaches
- Commitment to Restraint Reduction Network accreditation

The Opportunity
As the Registered Manager, you will:
- Lead a dedicated team within Cornwall Council’s Disabled Children & Therapy Service
- Collaborate with experienced managers to uphold high standards of care
- Drive service excellence and improve outcomes for disabled children and young people
- Represent Cornwall Council in a public-facing role, adhering to statutory English language requirements

Requirements
To succeed, you’ll need:
- Qualification: Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
- Experience: Proven track record in residential care provision
- Knowledge: Extensive legislation and safeguarding frameworks expertise
- Skills:
- Strong leadership acumen in high-support environments
- Ability to apply trauma-informed and PBS strategies
- Emotional resilience and adaptability when working with children’s complex needs
- Collaborative approach with multi-agency teams and families
- Language: Compliance with public sector English language requirements
