Home Manager Opportunity

Silver Lodge Care Home | Moortown, Leeds (LS17 6AW)

Up to £60,000 per annum + 40% Bonus + Private Medical + Pension

Silver Lodge Care Home is launching a new chapter and this is your opportunity to lead it.

Previously part of a shared registration with its sister service, our service is now stepping forward as a standalone, specialist dementia nursing home. With its own identity, its own leadership, and a clear direction, this is more than a management role, it is the chance to shape, define and elevate a service with real potential.

This is a 40-bed nursing home currently supporting 32 residents and transitioning fully into a specialist complex dementia model. Commercially, the home is in a strong position with healthy occupancy and solid foundations. However, following recent leadership changes, the next CQC inspection is expected to require focused improvement. Compliance, quality, and visible leadership will be central to your success and to the home’s.

This is where you come in.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

We are seeking a strong, values-led Home Manager who thrives on accountability and sees regulatory challenge as a professional opportunity. You will take full operational and commercial responsibility for the service, leading from the front; visible on the floor, coaching your team, setting standards, and restoring confidence following the sudden departure of the previous manager. The team are committed and capable. They need direction, consistency, and belief.

Your mission is clear: secure a ‘Good’ CQC rating, embed robust governance and compliance, stabilise and strengthen the team culture, and continue building sustainable occupancy. You will work closely with the Regional Director, CRM and Quality Team to ensure standards are not only met but embedded. Budgets, KPIs, and staffing will sit firmly within your control, and you will be trusted to run the home as your business.

We are looking for an experienced Home Manager with a background in complex dementia or nursing care who understands both the emotional intelligence and commercial acumen required in modern care leadership. You will have a proven record of improving standards, developing teams, and managing regulatory relationships with confidence. An RMN is preferred, though strong RGNs or exceptional non-nurse candidates with the right experience will be considered. A Level 5 in Leadership and Management is essential.
