Are you passionate about supporting pupils to thrive both in and out of the classroom?

The Beacon School is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Home School Link Worker to join their team on a permanent basis.

This is a vital role focused on building strong relationships with families, promoting pupil well-being, and ensuring every child has the opportunity to succeed through positive home-school partnerships.

If you’re enthusiastic about making a real difference in the lives of young people and their families, we’d love to hear from you.

Your Opportunity

The Home School Link Worker at The Beacon School plays a crucial role in supporting the well-being, safety, and academic success of pupils by acting as a bridge between home and school. The postholder will work closely with school staff, families, and external agencies to identify and address barriers to learning, improve attendance and punctuality, and provide early intervention and tailored support to vulnerable pupils and their families. The role also involves supporting students transitioning to The Beacon School by facilitating a structured onboarding process upon their arrival.

What We Are Looking For

  • A strong background in supporting vulnerable families.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with families, staff, and external agencies.
  • A passion for supporting pupil's well-being and removing barriers to learning, with a proactive and compassionate approach.
  • Confident, self-motivated, and well-organised, with a positive attitude and commitment to professional development.
  • Strong ICT skills and a willingness to participate in wider school and community life.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
