ABOUT OKA

Founded over 20 years ago by three entrepreneurial women with a passion for beautiful, practical, and comfortable homes, OKA is more than a furniture and homeware retailer: it is a love affair with living well.

We inspire people to confidently create a home that reflects their personality, a space where nothing should be too precious or perfect to be enjoyed with family and friends. British-born, today we have 15 stores across the UK – an established Interior Design and Trade business, a mail-order service, and a thriving website.

We are currently looking to recruit a full-time Home Stylist to support our Retail Team, based at our concession in Fenwick Kingston. OKA Kingston is our fourth concession, following the successful introduction of the brand into the renowned Fenwicks Department Store in Newcastle.

We know the best work is done by people who enjoy their jobs, so we create a fun and nurturing environment where everyone feels valued and is able to thrive. We are looking for an agile and proactive Home Stylist with a positive attitude and entrepreneurial spirit who can help us nurture this company culture. Reporting directly to the Store Manager, the Home Stylist is responsible for providing an enhanced retail experience for OKA customers through the provision of instore design, room planning, and styling services.

This is a retail-based position, requiring consistent presence on the shop floor during store opening hours. While the role has a strong design element, it is not office-based instead, it calls for flexibility, strong customer interaction, and effective teamwork. The Home Stylist is also expected to support store operations and wider team activities beyond core design duties.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
