Homecare Assistant - Ripley Department: Homecare Assistants Employment Type: Part Time Location: Ripley Compensation: £13.40 / hour

Description Join our multi-award winning team and become part of our family run business which very much has our carers at the heart. We are recruiting for caring and compassionate Homecare Assistants and have branches in Ilkeston, Long Eaton and Ripley.

Whether you are an experienced carer or looking for a career change, all we require is a full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.

You will be supporting people in and around Ripley which includes these areas:

Ripley, Belper, Kilburn, Heage, Ironville, Ambergate, Pentrich, Leabrooks, Codnor, Sawmills, Alferton, Swanwick and Pye Bridge.

Please note: We are unable to offer visa sponsorship for this position. Please use our separate Sponsorship Switch application forms if you require a visa to work in the UK.

Key Responsibilities Key responsibilities of a Homecare Assistant Providing care and support to individuals living in their own home to a high standard Assisting clients with bathing, grooming, and getting dressed Handling household tasks like grocery shopping and laundry Preparing and serving meals at the appropriate times Administering and organising medication Collaborating with other health care and social care professionals to provide the best possible care Completing visit notes that are detailed, accurate and true.

Company benefits and pay

What we currently offer Early set shift pattern - 20 minimum guaranteed weekly hours - This would see you working morning and lunch calls (7am-3pm) during the week, plus every other weekend, where you will be working all four shifts, Morning, Lunch, Tea and Bed (7am - 10pm with breaks in between shifts) Guaranteed hours and no zero hour contracts - We don’t offer zero hour contracts. Instead, we want to ensure all of our care team knows that we can guarantee a minimum number of hours no matter what. You can still pick up extra work if you wish to: Competitive rates of pay: £13.40 per hour - including weekdays and weekends - plus £2.10 per house that you visit Pension - Employer contributions Blue Light Card - Eligible to apply for the Blue Light Card and get access to discounts and rewards Continuous Training - which includes one week’s induction training in our award winning training centre (we pay you £425 for this) completing your Care Certificate, Advanced Dementia and End of Life training in your first year, and 4 days of paid CPD to use every year Supportive management - with out of hours on call support Breakfast and snacks - in the office for those busy days Free Uniform - we provide polo shirts and a fleece jacket, and also offer free trousers and trainers if you want them!
