The Medicines Homecare Team is a small team of administrative and professional pharmacy staff based on the Abergele Hospital site. Our main objective is to provide timely access to medicines for homecare patients in North Wales and provide support for clinical teams and service users.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, detail-orientated individual to join our team to support with our growing workload. The ability to problem solve and have excellent communication skills are essential. Training will be provided for the successful applicant.

Main Duties of the Job
The successful applicant will support with processing invoices and prescriptions, as well as responding to enquiries received from NHS staff and external partners.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Detailed Job Description and Main Responsibilities
The successful applicant will process prescriptions for patients requiring home delivery of their medicines, such as those on immunosuppressive medicines to enable care closer to home and reduce footfall to the acute hospitals.

They will also ensure that invoices are correct prior to passing onto finance for payment using existing standard operating procedures and be required to answer or escalate enquiries from external stakeholders or BCUHB staff to support with the management of the medicines homecare services.

- Aware of pharmacy purchasing practices

- Has, or is working toward a relevant qualification in administration, purchasing, or pharmacy services
