About Immediate
At Immediate, we bring together some of the UK’s biggest and most beloved consumer brands, including:
- Radio Times
- Good Food
- Gardeners' World
- History Extra
Our trusted content reaches millions of people monthly across digital, print, video, podcasts, apps, and live events, helping audiences deepen their knowledge, refine their skills, and fuel their passions. Whether it’s fitness, food, or gardening, we inspire moments of joy and connection.
About the Role
As a Horticultural Content Creator, you’ll be:
- A skilled gardener with a passion for the craft—someone who lives and breathes gardening, not just writes or talks about it.
- A versatile creator, producing written content (2–3 pieces per week) and video content, switching seamlessly between magazine features, web guides, and YouTube scripts without losing depth or authenticity.
- A curious, open-minded thinker with an understanding of AI’s evolving role in publishing—comfortable exploring new tools while upholding high editorial standards.
Your expertise will enrich every piece you create, whether in print, digital, or on screen.
Key Responsibilities
Written Content
- Produce 2–3 horticultural pieces per week across print, digital, and external channels, including:
- Practical guides
- Seasonal advice
- Plant profiles
- DIY how-tos
- News-led articles
- Tailor tone and depth for audiences ranging from experienced gardeners to absolute beginners (e.g., from Gardener’s World magazine readers to windowsill growers).
- Develop longer-form magazine features under editorial direction, meeting the standards expected by Gardeners’ World’s print audience.
- Create supplementary written assets for video output (web articles, summaries, and support guides) to enhance the multiplatform storytelling.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
