Do you want to be part of something amazing, and join one of the UK’s leading educational charities? A place where we are driven by a sheer love of plants, the natural world and the belief that we all can make the world a better place, and where you will be working alongside some of the best horticulturists in the country.

Our mission is to demonstrate and inspire positive action for the planet.

Eden Project Cornwall is our original and flagship site, and one of the most popular attractions in the southwest of the country, attracting over 700,000 visitors each year. Over the last 25 years we have developed and created a garden of global importance and interest. This garden is home to a vast collection of incredible plants and growing environments, ranging from wild and natural landscapes, verdant rainforests, Mediterranean hillsides, North American prairies, Wild Chilean woodlands, as well as demonstrations of food production and crops from around the world. We use our horticulture to tell stories of how people and plants are intertwined, as well as being a source of inspiration to encourage positive action for our planet.

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and passionate horticulturist to join our 45-strong team, to work within the enormous hot, humid Rainforest biome and the warm Mediterranean biome, as well as to look after potted plant displays around the Eden site, creating an inspiring treasure trove of exotic plant exhibits.

Our horticulturists deliver all practical aspects of plant care, cultivation and maintenance to a high standard - including watering, planting, pruning, training, mulching and spraying; of crop exhibits and wild geographical ecological collections. In the Rainforest, crops include cocoa, rubber, spice crops and ecological collections from South East Asia and the Amazon. In the Mediterranean Biome crops include Aubergines, Citrus, Vines and Apricots, and collections from Western Australia and California. In addition, horticulturists will research, plan and organise the delivery of displays, write signage and interact with visitors.

We are looking for an outward going individual who possesses a good knowledge of exotic plants, has good general horticultural practice and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. But most importantly an individual with a love of horticulture and plants.

The closing date for this position is midnight on Sunday 9th August 2026
Interviews will be scheduled on the week commencing 17th August 2026

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
