Hospital Complex Wound Specialist – Surgical & NPWT Expert

About the Role

This role will support and expand our NPWT and wound care influence across:

  • Leicester, Rutland, Northamptonshire*
  • Hampshire*
  • Thames Valley*

Based ideally around: Watford, Reading, Oxford.

Responsibilities

As our Hospital Complex Wound Specialist, you’ll:

  • Provide trusted clinical guidance on NPWT and advanced wound management to frontline teams
  • Deliver bespoke NPWT training programmes, ensuring stakeholder adoption aligned with Smith+Nephew’s PICO & Renasys systems
  • Offer hands-on clinical education across acute and command settings, shaping best practice for patient care
  • Advise Tissue Viability Nurses, Theatre Teams, and decision-makers to drive efficiency
  • Collaborate with our sales teams on audits, clinical pathways, and adoption strategies

Requirements

You’ll succeed in this role if you:

  • Are a Registered General Nurse (or allied medical professional) with expert wound care experience (specialised in NPWT)
  • Have strong NHS pathway knowledge to influence clinical decision-making
  • Demonstrate excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills
  • Are comfortable with travel across your territory while engaging diverse stakeholder groups
