Spire Healthcare was founded from the acquisition and rebranding of 25 Bupa hospitals in 2007. Substantial capital investment in the organisational infrastructure has led to our current standing as a very successful, FTSE 250 business. Spire is the largest independent healthcare provider in terms of revenue, operating from 39 hospitals and more than 50 clinics, medical centres and consulting rooms across England, Wales and Scotland. We work closely with more than 8,740 distinguished consultants that in 2024, provided outstanding personalised care to more than 1.3 million patients.
Spire – Little Aston, rated Good by the CQC, is a state-of-the-art private hospital delivering comprehensive treatments and care to patients across Birmingham and greater Midlands region. The hospital offers a comprehensive range of services including surgery, diagnostics and physiotherapy via 32 private rooms and 3 operating theatres. The hospital is a short 25 minute drive from Birmingham city centre and is well served by main motorway links to the M6, M5 and M42.

Key aspects of your role will include:
- Supporting and contributing to the development of high-performing hospital teams who are engaged in the Spire vision and purpose.
- Assisting in the delivery of local hospital and group-wide change, transformation and business improvement projects.
- Playing a key role in managing hospital capacity to ensure efficiency, support growth opportunities, and meet business objectives.
- Contributing to commercial growth by identifying and helping to develop local business opportunities and partnerships.

To be considered for this role you will need to be able to demonstrate previous experience in a similar role (such as Hospital Director) within the healthcare provider sector. In addition, you will be able to demonstrate transparent and engaging leadership, a focus on excellence in customer service and keen business acumen.
