Hospital Health Data Governance Lead (AI Training)

About The Role

What if your deep expertise in healthcare data governance could directly shape how AI understands, interprets, and works with hospital health data at scale?

We're looking for seasoned Healthcare Data Governance Leads to help ensure that clinical and operational data powering next-generation AI models is accurate, secure, compliant, and genuinely trustworthy.

This is a fully remote, flexible contract role designed for experienced professionals committed to governance, who can help AI get it right.

Organization: Alignerr Type: Hourly Contract Location: Remote Commitment: 10–40 hours/week


What You'll Do

  • Evaluate and inform governance frameworks to ensure hospital health data is accurate, consistent, and secure
  • Review clinical and operational data workflows to identify gaps in quality, compliance, or policy alignment
  • Apply your knowledge of healthcare privacy and regulatory standards—including HIPAA—to assess and validate data handling practices
  • Collaborate across clinical, IT, and compliance domains to structure cross-functional data policies appropriately
  • Provide structured, expert-level feedback on data governance scenarios, policies, and documentation
  • Complete task-based assignments independently, working flexibly to meet timelines

Who You Are

Required Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in healthcare data governance, data management, or clinical data operations
  • Strong understanding of healthcare privacy, compliance, and regulatory frameworks—with significant focus on HIPAA
  • Ability to think cross-functionally across clinical, technical, and administrative domains
  • Methodical, detail-oriented mindset, adept at detecting inconsistencies and patterns others miss
  • Clear, concise written communication skills for documenting findings and logical reasoning
  • Self-motivated with reliability as an independent contractor

Nice-to-Have:

  • Experience with data annotation, data quality evaluation, or clinical data review systems
  • Background in health informatics, clinical operations, or healthcare IT
  • Familiarity with EHR platforms, data warehousing, or interoperability standards such as HL7 or FHIR
  • Experience supporting regulatory audits or accreditation processes
