Hospital Health Data Governance Lead (AI Training)

About The Role

What if your expertise in healthcare data governance could directly shape how AI understands and processes clinical information for millions of patients? We're looking for experienced Hospital Health Data Governance Leads to help build and validate AI systems that rely on accurate, trusted, and compliant health data.

This is a fully remote, flexible contract role. You'll bring your deep knowledge of hospital data ecosystems, regulatory frameworks, and cross-functional collaboration to a cutting-edge AI project at the intersection of healthcare and machine learning.

What You'll Do

  • Evaluate and validate healthcare data governance frameworks, standards, and workflows for accuracy, consistency, and compliance
  • Review clinical and operational data structures to ensure they meet regulatory and quality requirements
  • Assess AI-generated outputs related to health data governance, flagging gaps, inconsistencies, or compliance risks
  • Apply your knowledge of HIPAA and other healthcare regulatory frameworks to evaluate data handling scenarios
  • Collaborate asynchronously with project teams to define and refine data governance standards used in AI model training
  • Provide structured, expert feedback on data quality, security controls, and interoperability considerations
  • Work independently on task-based assignments at your own pace

Who You Are

  • Experienced in healthcare data governance, clinical data management, or health information operations
  • Strong working knowledge of healthcare privacy regulations, including HIPAA and related compliance frameworks
  • Comfortable working across clinical, technical, and administrative domains — you understand the language of each
  • Detail-oriented and systematic — you notice when data doesn't add up and know how to fix it
  • Self-motivated and reliable when working independently without close supervision
  • Clear and concise written communicator who can document findings and recommendations effectively

Nice to Have

  • Experience with data annotation, data quality evaluation, or AI training workflows
  • Background in health information management (HIM), clinical informatics, or healthcare IT
  • Familiarity with EHR systems, interoperability standards (HL7, FHIR), or data warehousing in clinical settings
  • Prior involvement in regulatory audits, accreditation processes, or compliance reviews
  • Experience developing or enforcing data governance policies across large healthcare organizations
