Hospital Health Data Governance Lead (AI Training)

About The Role

What if your expertise in healthcare data governance could directly shape how AI understands and works with hospital data—influencing systems that will support patient care for millions of people?

We're partnering with leading AI research teams to build and train cutting-edge AI models that work with real-world health data. We're looking for experienced health data governance professionals to ensure hospital data used in these systems is accurate, trusted, compliant, and clinically meaningful.

This is a fully remote, flexible contract role. If you've spent your career making sure healthcare data is reliable, secure, and fit for purpose—this is your opportunity to bring that expertise to the frontier of AI.


Organization: Alignerr Type: Hourly Contract Location: Remote Commitment: 10–40 hours/week


Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and define governance standards for hospital health records—assessing:
    • Accuracy
    • Consistency
    • Completeness
    • Security
  • Review and assess AI-generated outputs related to:
    • Clinical data workflows
    • Governance frameworks
    • Compliance policies
  • Identify gaps, risks, and inconsistencies in how health data is:
    • Structured
    • Classified
    • Managed within AI training scenarios
  • Apply your knowledge of healthcare regulatory frameworks—including HIPAA and other compliance standards—to evaluate data handling practices
  • Work cross-functionally to align data policies across:
    • Clinical contexts
    • IT systems
    • Administrative requirements (within project scope)
  • Provide structured, detailed expert feedback using evaluation tools and frameworks provided
  • Complete task-based assignments independently, flexible with your own schedule

Requirements

Essential

  • Experienced in:
    • Healthcare data governance
    • Clinical data management
    • Health information operations
  • Strong working knowledge of:
    • Healthcare privacy laws (including HIPAA)
    • Regulatory frameworks
  • Able to navigate the intersection of:
    • Clinical domains
    • Technical systems
    • Compliance policies
  • Methodical and detail-oriented—you know when data falls short of standards
  • Clear, concise communicator who can articulate:
    • Complex governance issues in structured formats
  • Self-motivated and reliable when working independently without supervision

  • Background in:

    • DAMA-DMBOK (or equivalent)
