With a team of 70+ veterinary professionals and support staff, PVE Cannington combines clinical capability with a strong, people-first culture. About The Opportunity
We are seeking a highly capable Hospital Operations Manager to join our Cannington hospital in Perth, playing a pivotal role in the performance of a fast-paced, 24/7 emergency hospital.
Create and support the operational conditions that enable exceptional emergency care; ensuring people, systems and resources work seamlessly so clinicians can focus on delivery of exceptional care.

This is a critical operational leadership position at one of Western Australia’s leading emergency veterinary hospitals. You will have autonomy to make a daily impact, influence leadership decision-making, and drive outcomes that directly improve patient care, team experience, and overall performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day hospital operations, ensuring efficiency, safety, and consistency
- Proactively identify and resolve operational inefficiencies
- Oversee workforce capacity, including roster alignment, sustainability and operational coverage
- Ensure facilities, systems, and equipment are compliant and fit-for-purpose
- Drive WHS, compliance, and risk management to best practice
- Lead and deliver continuous improvement initiatives and operational projects
- Monitor resource utilisation and expenditure to ensure sustainable hospital performance
- Support and coach leaders to strengthen execution and accountability
About You
- Minimum 5+ years’ experience in operations leadership within fast-paced, complex environments (essential)
- Demonstrated success in delivering outcomes in high-pressure, dynamic operational settings
- Excellent organisational capability and ability to manage competing priorities
- Highly developed communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- High emotional intelligence with the ability to influence across cross-functional teams
- Experience operating within a 24/7 environment (highly regarded)
- Background in healthcare, veterinary, aviation, mining or similar 24/7 service-based environments (highly regarded)
