Hospital Support Assistant - Acorn
Housekeeper (Cleanliness & Catering Support) – Part-Time (365 Days/Year)
Location: Humber Health Partnership (Acorn area)
Hours: Hours are contractually agreed to be 8 hours per week, working Saturdays and Sundays from 4:00pm to 8:00pm, including all weekends, Bank Holidays, Christmas, and New Year.
About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic team player to join our busy, fast-paced hospital environment in supporting the cleanliness of our department areas within the Acorn area. This role involves part-time contracted hours, covering critical periods across the year.
The position is designed to assist in all cleaning and catering duties within the hospital to ensure ongoing high standards of cleanliness and food hygiene, in accordance with the Trust’s Cleanliness Standards and Food Safety Legislation.
The team aims to work collaboratively with colleagues, patients, and visitors to provide a safe and effective service.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Support the maintenance of high standards of cleanliness across department areas, including floors, surfaces, restrooms and patient/catering zones.
- Assisting with catering-related duties to ensure food safety and hygiene compliance.
- Working as part of a team dedicated to maintaining a safe, efficient, and welcoming environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
- Following established health and safety procedures, food safety protocols, and Trust cleaning standards.
Note: All successful applicants are required to complete an initial 4-week compulsory training period.
