The opportunity

Delaware North UK is hiring a full-time Hospitality Head Chef to join our team at London Stadium in Stratford, London. As Head Chef, you will be leading a team of Chefs to create exceptional food across all areas of operations, including event day hospitality and meetings and events. You will be producing innovative menus for guests, ensuring memorable dining experiences and excellent guest satisfaction. What will you do?

  • Analyse menu data, concepts, trends, and products, developing our offerings and identifying ways to drive sales and profitability across the business to meet plan
  • Ensure consistent quality and portion control, creating production specifications and schedules for food products
  • Collaborate with the Talent Acquisition team during hiring to attract and recruit the best talent
  • Support the team members’ onboarding, scheduling, training, and development
  • Ensure the operation complies with current health and safety, food hygiene, fire regulations, licensing laws, and trading standards, maintaining Delaware North’s policies and standards of excellence

More About You

  • Related culinary degree, or 9+ years’ experience with 3+ years’ of management
  • Experience in a high volume, logistically challenging environment
  • NVQ Level 1 and 2
  • Skills in communication, teamwork, reliability, punctuality, detail-orientation, and performing under pressure, plus basic skills in IT
  • 3+ years’ financial accountability for a large single site or several smaller sites is beneficial

Physical Requirements

  • Availability to work evenings and weekends
  • Ability to work on site at London Stadium, and on occasion travel to other venues to support the business
