Reporting to the Hospitality & Events Duty Manager, you will play a key role in coordinating and delivering a diverse range of hospitality services, including conferences, VIP events, corporate meetings, university ceremonies, and special functions. This is a hands-on operational role where no two days are the same.

You'll lead from the front, ensuring every event is delivered to the highest standards while providing excellent customer service, supervising hospitality teams, managing resources, and contributing to the continued success and growth of our hospitality operation.

What You'll Be Doing

As Hospitality Operations Co-ordinator, You Will

  • Coordinate and deliver hospitality services for meetings, conferences, ceremonies, and events across the University.
  • Act as the on-site operational lead, ensuring smooth and professional event delivery.
  • Supervise hospitality staff and provide day-to-day leadership, coaching, and support.
  • Manage hospitality bookings through our online booking system.
  • Work closely with chefs, managers, and event organisers to ensure all customer requirements are met.
  • Drive sales through effective upselling and promotion of hospitality products and services.
  • Create staff rotas and allocate resources to meet operational needs.
  • Monitor stock, ordering, wastage, and operational costs.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, allergen management, health and safety, and university procedures.
  • Gather customer feedback and identify opportunities for service improvement.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and training of hospitality team members.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
